Folders

Introduction

Folders are simple containers purely for content organizational purposes. Folders can be created in any container:

  • Course
  • Workspace
  • Group
  • Folder (i.e. subfolders)

Access

Folders do not have members like the other three containers (course, workspace, group). All users who have access to its own parent (course, workspace, group, folder), can access the folder. Think of a Folder as a Group with no members.

Use cases

Typical use cases include:

  • Organizing your classroom (e.g. references, homework, etc.)
  • Hiding content while you work on it
  • Hiding content until it is needed in the classroom
